Donovan Mitchell is in the midst of another outstanding season for one of the Western Conference’s top teams. The three-time All-Star is averaging 25.7 points per game this season, once again leading the Jazz toward a potential playoff push.

Bojan Bogdanovic will miss tonight’s contest with a calf injury. In the 324 minutes Mitchell has played without Bogdanovic this season, the Jazz guard sees a usage rate spike of 2.9% (to a whopping 36%) and scores 4.3 more points per 36 minutes. For perspective, that usage rate would rank third in the NBA, behind Luka Doncic and Joel Embiid.

The Knicks' defensive scheme should suit a big scoring output for Mitchell. New York protects the paint well, often staying under on screens. Mitchell’s long- and mid-range shooting prowess will factor in, as it did in his 32-point output against New York earlier this season.

It also doesn’t hurt that the New York native will be returning home to play in his only appearance at Madison Square Garden of the season. I love the Jazz's star guard to show out in the Big Apple and have him projected for 30 points.
