Desmond Bane’s emergence this season has been one of the catalysts of the Grizzlies’ success. The sophomore wing averaged 25.3 PRA over the course of the regular season, while shooting exceptionally well from behind the arc (43.6%).

Bane stepped up adequately as Memphis navigated several key injuries over the course of the season – but with the Grizzlies now fully healthy, I’m looking to fade the sharpshooter.

It did not happen often, but when Dillon Brooks, Ja Morant and Bane all suited up this season, Bane took a back seat. Including Game 1 and 2, Bane has stayed under this line in 10 of the 12 games the trio played together, averaging only 20.5 PRA.

With Steven Adams falling out of favor in this matchup, the Grizzlies have shifted more towards Kyle Anderson, Brandon Clarke and Xavier Tillman. All are higher-usage players than Adams, and their presence will dig even further into Bane’s production.

And as Bane is the Grizzlies player most reliant on 3-pointers (49% of his points from behind the arc), he’s likely hurt most by Minnesota’s perimeter defense. The T-Wolves allowed the 11th-lowest 3-point percentage to their opponents after the All-Star break.

I have Bane projected at 23 PRA tonight.

Pick: Desmond Bane under 26.5 points, rebounds and assists (-125 at DraftKings). Playable to 25.5.
