In his second season for the Nets, Durant is putting up numbers not seen since his days in Oklahoma City. The Slim Reaper is averaging 37 combined points and rebounds, his highest total since the 2013-2014 campaign.

The Nets have dealt with one of the more fluid lineup situations in the league this season. Now finally somewhat stable, Brooklyn is able to trot out its two superstars, Durant and Kyrie Irving, on a full-time basis.

In the 11 games they’ve played together, Durant is averaging 36 P+R, eclipsing this total in six of 11 games.

Tonight, however, is all about the matchup. When Durant faces off against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks, he typically likes to assert himself. In his last five regular season meetings against Milwaukee, Durant has notched at least 38 P+R.

And of course, this doesn’t include last season’s epic playoff series, which saw Durant put up an absurd 46 P+R average.

With the Nets jockeying for playoff positioning, and facing off against an MVP candidate, I expect a big game from the emotionally-fueled Durant. I have the former MVP projected at 40 P+R tonight.

Pick: Over 36.5 points + rebounds (-120 at Caesars) | Bet to: 37.5
