One of the best stories of the NBA season thus far has been the return of Thompson after two devastating injuries.

While the five-time All Star’s PRA numbers are in line with his career averages on a per 36-minute basis, he’s struggled with his scoring efficiency. Thompson is putting up career-low shooting numbers across the board, which was to be expected as he continues to find his footing and rhythm.

But with his minutes restrictions, Thompson has stayed under this line in 12 of his 19 games. And five of the seven times he eclipsed this total were against teams that rank in the bottom half of the league in shooting defense.

The Clippers should pose a tough matchup for the sharpshooter. L.A. ranks seventh in defensive rating, fourth in opponent effective field goal percentage, and sixth in opponent three-point frequency. The Clippers have several athletic wings they can throw at Klay to keep him at bay on the scoring front.

And I’ll tack on rebounds and assists since this game sets up better for the Warriors lead distributors and rebounders. I have Thompson projected at around 21 PRA tonight.

Pick: Klay Thompson under 24.5 points, rebounds and assists (-111 at FanDuel). Can also play under 17.5 points, which is widely available.
