While it’s been a successful first full season for Vucevic and the Bulls, it’s evident that he’s the third wheel to his All-Star teammates. When Vucevic shares the floor with DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, he averages 31.1 PRA per 34 minutes, and 32.2 PRA over the course of the 43 full games the trio has played together.

However, when it comes to playing better team defenses, the Bulls big man yields even more to his perimeter counterparts. Against top 20 team defenses, when the Bulls big three have played together, Vucevic is averaging 30.3 PRA, staying under this line in 13 of 20 games.

The Jazz rank 10th defensively, a ranking that would be higher had Rudy Gobert not missed 15 games over the last few weeks. When the Frenchman is on the floor, the Jazz defensive rating improves by almost 10%.

This should spell trouble for Vucevic, whose lowest true shooting percentage and fourth-fewest PRA average in his career is against Gobert and the Jazz.

It’s a matchup that suits up better for both DeRozan and LaVine, and I expect pedestrian numbers for Vooch. I have the Bulls center projected at 28 PRA.

Pick: Nikola Vucevic under 31.5 points, rebounds and assists (-102 at FanDuel). Under 21.5 points and assists also playable.
