Loyola Chicago vs Chattanooga College Basketball Betting Preview
Chattanooga is led by head coach Dan Earl. Earl has led this Mocs team since the start of the 2022-23 season and has a record of 66-38.
This is the first postseason tournament Chattanooga has been apart of since 2022, when it made the NCAA Tournament and lost to No. 4 Illinois 54-53.
This year's team finished first in the SoCon standings at 15-3 in-conference.
Loyola Chicago has also had a terrific season, as head coach Drew Valentine led this team to a 25-11 record and a third-place finish in the Atlantic 10 standings (12-6). This team is red-hot, covering four of its last five games.
I expect the Ramblers to win again on Tuesday versus Chattanooga.
Loyola Chicago matchups up well against the Mocs, and I think that Loyola’s defense will cause problems for the opposing team. Loyola hasn't allowed 80+ points since February 11, as it went to overtime with Richmond on that date.
This Loyola defense is legit and made for March. With Chattanooga playing at a slower pace and the Ramblers' defense shining, this should be a low-scoring game.
On the other side of the court, the Mocs' defense is well below par. Loyola shouldn't have a problem scoring, as it'll get whatever it wants at the rim.
If Loyola Chicago can limit turnovers and keep Chattanooga off the offensive glass, the Ramblers should advance to the title game. This team has been playing good basketball recently, and I think that its form will help it.
