Sale is blowing by this number in 3 straight starts with 10, 9, and 8. Many have never seen Sale before either which I think benefits the pitcher.

Available at FanDuel. FanDuel's above the market on Sale, so if you want to dip this down to 5.5 and lay around -150 on the over, that's available. I think the plus money on the over at a larger number is tough to turn down. I have Sale projected at 7.51 strikeouts, which is why I'm fine swinging for the fences. He jacked up his four-seam fastball usage four starts ago, and it has led to a big spike in his strikeouts. He's at 30.8% in that span. He has also hit 110 pitches in consecutive starts, so health no longer seems to be a concern. You've got two ways to play this one; I just prefer to dabble in the upside, given how fun Sale's recent stretch has been.

Available at FanDuel. Pfaadt has struggled thus far -- but it has primarily been with hard contact. His swinging-strike rate is 10.4%, implying his strikeout rate should rise soon. Even with that, he has been at 3 or more strikeouts in all 4 starts despite hitting the over on this number just once. I have Pfaadt projected for 4.7 strikeouts. It's a leap of faith given the lack of third strikes thus far, but I think the peripherals imply those will come soon.
