The Reds have been hot lately, with the Over going 5-0-2 in their last 7 overall and 4-0-2 in their last 6 against righties. This trend is further supported by their performance following a rough outing, as the Over has been 4-0-2 after allowing 5 or more runs in a game. Where starting pitchers are concerned, both offer very little resistance to the Over trend in this matchup. Aguiar Vulnerable: Aguiar has proven to be vulnerable with a 4.50 ERA and a .250 opponent average in only one start, though he worked around it a bit. Inexperienced and coming in with a modest 4.5 K/9 strikeout rate, he might not be a good match against the Pirates, who have been able to score in droves of late. Conversely, Woodford of the Pirates has been even worse, going 0-5 with a 6.67 ERA through his first five starts. His last outing was especially poor, where he gave up five earned runs in just four innings, and with opponents batting .287 against him, he really hasn't shown the ability to fend off hitters.
