Nuggets vs. Nets Odds & Betting Predictions - October 29, 2024

Braun is one of the only players in the NBA to go OVER all three games of this season so far… he’s averaging 14+ PPG and the sportsbooks are keeping his line at 10.5 as a trap because they know he’s going UNDER tonight

Cam has been an absolute monster to start the season and is averaging 38.7 PRA through 3 games. However, he is actually due for a bit of positive regression in one of these categories. Cam has recorded 8, 5, and 11 potential assists but that has only resulted in 3, 3, and 2 actual dimes. We normally should expect at least a 50% conversion rate on potentials. The key for Cam has been that he’s always been a scoring threat, and Denver has continually been torched by top scoring threats this year as they adjust to life without KCP on the perimeter. Couple that with his knack for grabbing loose boards (5.3 R this year) and that potential for more dimes and we should be in a good spot. It’s always tough to play any back to back, let alone one where Denver just played an OT game in Toronto and then needed to go through Customs before heading to Brooklyn before getting on another plane to visit the Minnesota Timberwolves for that Western Conference Semi-Finals rematch. This very well could be a bit of a look ahead game for them. Thomas has seen extended run and max Usage for this Nets team and I expect that to continue in a well rounded effort.

The Nets are missing three frontcourt players in Simmons, Sharpe and Watford, which pretty much leaves Clax/Clowney. Claxton just hit this line last game in only 22 MIN. Since BKN is missing so many bigs, Claxton should see a bump in minutes to around 30. W/o Simmons last season, he covered this line in 16/24 games when playing 22-30 MIN (67%) - AVG 6.9 FGA. One of those games was vs. DEN and Claxton scored 10 PTS. DEN has really struggled defensively this season, especially in the paint. They allow the 9th highest FREQ% less than 10 FT from the rim and are allowing the most PTIP - 90% of Claxton's action is in the paint. When Clax played a T10 team in PITP, he covered this line in 8/12 playing 22-30 MIN (75%) - AVG 7.0 FGA. C's vs. DEN: - Poeltl: 16 PTS - *covered* - Zubac: 24 PTS - *covered* - Chet: 25 PTS - *covered* 3/3 center's have covered their individual points line vs. DEN so far. A lot of Claxton's FGA will come from the PnR game or putbacks - DEN are allowing the highest putback FREQ% through 3 games and w/o Simmons, Schroder is a much more capable PnR threat and actually had a great connection on lobs w/ Claxton last season

Over in 2/3. No Simmons - in a very limited sample, Schroder has been more aggressive without him on the court: +3.4 P+A per 32 mins. Nuggets really don’t have a good point of attack defender for PnR ball handlers without KCP, and I expect Cam Thomas to see a good amount of Aaron Gordon. Plus, the Nuggets are coming off an OT game in Toronto from last night.
