The 2018 Rose Bowl is set, with Pac-12 Champion Washington taking on Ohio State.

The Huskies are making their first Rose Bowl appearance since 2000, while Ohio State returns to Pasadena for the first time since 2009. It's remarkable that OSU has won the Big Ten 11 times since 1996, but will be making just its third Rose Bowl appearance in that span.

The Buckeyes just missed the College Football Playoff, coming in at No. 6. Oklahoma got the nod instead.

2018 Rose Bowl Betting Odds

Ohio State opened as a 5.5-point favorite in the Rose Bowl, and it was bet down to 4.5 on Sunday.

How Ohio State Reached the Rose Bowl

Ohio State has missed a BCS or New Year's Six bowl just once since 2005 — 2011 when Luke Fickell was the interim coach.

Everyone figured it would be headed to a fairly middling bowl game after a blowout loss to Purdue and narrow victory over Maryland, but the Buckeyes shocked Michigan and handled Northwestern to win the Big Ten Championship.

How Washington Reached the Rose Bowl

The Huskies fell well short of any playoff expectations by losing early to Auburn, then again to Oregon and Cal.

But Washington rebounded with a win over Washington State, then Utah in the Pac-12 Championship Game.
