The Chicago Bears, with a franchise signal caller already in the fold, are on the clock with the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
And up atop the odds board to be taken first is none other than Alabama quarterback Bryce Young.
This is the part where we fan ourselves.
Drama in Week 18 set us up for potential mayhem early. Although still we're still months out from the 2023 NFL Draft and all the goodies that come with — the rumors, smoke screens, you name it — we get a good look at how the market views the top prospects in next year's class.
Bryce Young Odds: -110
Young's wiry frame and how teams across the league gauge his future in the pros will be arguably the hottest conversation leading up to the 2023 NFL Draft.
Young, roughly 6-foot and south of 200 pounds, won the Heisman in 2021. He compiled more than 8,000 yards and 79 total touchdowns through the air in two seasons at Alabama.
Edge rusher Travon Walker went first last year, breaking a string of four straight years a quarterback was plucked with the top pick.
Pick: Bryce Young 1st Overall |

CJ Stroud Odds: +200
Stroud was actually the favorite in last year's early odds field.
The 6-3 Ohio State marksman was the exact same price back in May, ahead of Young (+225).
Stroud led the Buckeyes to the Peach Bowl this past season. He finished the college football season ranking second nationally in both passing touchdowns (41) and QBR (88.9).
Pick: C.J. Stroud 1st Overall |
Jalen Carter Odds: +500
Georgia continues to pump out elite defensive prospects, and Carter's the next.
If you previously hopped on Carter to go No. 1 overall, you're sitting pretty; the star-studded lineman opened +3500 to be the top draft pick last spring.
Carter was a force on both national title-winning Bulldog teams, combining for 15.5 tackles for loss and six sacks across 27 games.
Pick: Jalen Carter 1st Overall |
