The national championship game between Michigan and Washington kicks off tonight, but already there are odds for the 2025 Heisman Trophy odds.
The favorites are, of course, all quarterbacks. Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers, Georgia quarterback Carson Beck and Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe are the leaders in the field. It stands to reason. These are three quarterbacks for three of the top four favorites in all of college football, and the three are sure to start next season despite the competition below them from several five-star recruits.
Next up is Oregon transfer Dillon Gabriel, who will join his third program after successful stints at the University of Central Florida and Oklahoma.
And Will Howard figures to start for Ohio State after transferring from Kansas State this transfer portal. Ohio State are in the top four in overall odds to win it all next season, too.
With the fifth-highest odds? It's Michigan. J.J. McCarthy, though, is lower down the totem pole after just an above-average 2023 campaign, and with the risk that coach Jim Harbaugh makes his long awaited jump back into the NFL scene.
