Ashton Jeanty is the new favorite to win the Heisman Trophy with +240 odds at BetMGM. If you haven't seen the Boise State running back in action this season, you'll immediately understand why he's the Heisman frontrunner when you see his highlights.

Jeanty's ascent comes on the same day that Jalen Milroe (the Heisman favorite entering the day) and Alabama lost as 23.5-point favorites to unranked Vanderbilt. Two-way star Travis Hunter and Colorado are also on a bye this week, which allowed Jeanty to leap ahead of both players with his stellar performance.

Jeanty wasn't even on the Heisman radar when the season started. He opened at +5000 odds at BetMGM on Sept. 8 and was +1000 entering Week 5.
Jeanty's player props entering Saturday's game were borderline laughable. His rushing over/under at FanDuel was listed at 188.5 yards, he was -2100 to score a touchdown and -330 to finish with multiple scores. He finished the day with 186 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries in a 62-30 win for Boise State against Utah Sate.
Jeanty has been tearing up the Smurf turf all season and eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards for the season in just five games. He already has two games this season with at least 250 rushing yards and he's sitting on 16 touchdowns with seven games left in the season.
