Ahead of college football’s Week 11 slate, here’s a look ahead at what bets The Action Network’s CFB experts Mike Calabrese and Mike Ianniello like for this week — and how they did last week.
Each week on the Big Bets on Campus podcast, Calabrese and Ianniello take over for the Wednesday “Group of 5 Deep Dive.” No one covers the G5 better than the duo goes through best bets, heroes of the week, moneyline underdog parlays and the G5 Hi-Five Round Robin.
Here’s what they have this week.
Week 11 Group of 5 Recap — How Did They Do?
It was an up-and-down week for the boys. A couple of their bets hit and a couple of them weren’t able to come through.
Calabrese had Utah State as his upset of the week and they demolished San Jose State after going down 7-0 early in that game.
Ianiello’s best bet of the week came through as Houston throttled Temple as a 24.5-point favorite.
Week 12 Best Bets
Ianniello went to his ol’ faithful, ol’ reliable: MACtion. Hopefully you listened to the podcast before Wednesday’s slate of games as Ianniello was all over Central Michigan -1 as the Chippewas dismantled Ball State 37-17.
Calabrese went to a conference that he’s had success in this season for his best bet: the Mountain West. He likes Boise State -27.5 at home against New Mexico. New Mexico has been the worst offense in FBS football this season at just 13.6 points per game.
Week 12 Underdog Moneyline Parlay
Calabrese took a team in one of the Group of 5 marquee games of the week, going with Lousiana Lafayette on the moneyline +160 over Liberty.
Ianniello likes one of the hottest teams in the G5 right now, Old Dominion, taking them +155 over Middle Tennessee State.
A $100 parlay on those two teams would pay $563 if both teams are able to pull off outright wins.
Week 12 G5 Hi-Five Round Robin
- Utah State -215 ML vs. Wyoming
- Temple vs. Tulsa Under 51
- Western Kentucky TT Over 37.5 vs. FAU
- WKU -10 vs. FAU
- Houston -8.5 vs. Memphis
