Central Michigan Under 4.5 (-150)

Central Michigan was led by Michigan transfer Shane Morris in the 2017 season, but won't have a transfer to save it this time around. After Morris went for 3,000-plus yards through the air last season, expect the Chippewas' offense to tumble. Central Michigan ranks 128th in returning production, and has more losses than the quarterback.

Dynamic running back Jonathan Ward returns, but losses at wide receiver, running back behind Ward, defensive line and most of the secondary will limit the win total.

There are a bunch of red flags entering 2018, returning production losses and a bit of good luck in 2017 among them. Last year, the Chippewas had a 2nd Order win total of -1.4, meaning they played worse than their record.

The 2018 schedule is unkind, with trips to division powerhouses Toledo and Northern Illinois. The depleted defensive front does not get a break after a Michigan State game, with Buffalo's Tyree Jackson coming to town from the East.

The memories of beating Oklahoma State in 2016 are well behind us. Coach John Bonamego will claw to reload in the post-Morris era, but take the Under 4.5 and look for the Chipps to rebuild around Ward's senior season in 2019.
