Air Force Betting Stats & 2019 Season Profile

  • Season Record: 10-2
  • Against-the-Spread Record: 7-5
  • Conference: Mountain West
  • Offense Yards Per Play Rank: 29
  • Defense Yards Per Play Rank: 51
  • S&P+ Special Teams Rank: 5

Analysis: On the other side of the Mountain West, Air Force would’ve had no problem finding its way to the conference championship. Unfortunately an unbeaten Boise State (in conference) handed the Falcons their only MWC loss of the season in a game that would ultimately decide the division champ way back in September. Still, Air Force eased into a Bowl berth thanks to its 27th ranked offense (SP+), and experienced its first 10-win regular season since 1998. The Falcons’ only other loss came at Navy — two weeks after their loss in Boise — so they’re riding a seven-game win streak into the postseason. –Danny Donahue

Washington State Betting Stats & 2019 Season Profile

  • Season Record: 6-6
  • Against-the-Spread Record: 4-8
  • Conference: Pac-12
  • Offense Yards Per Play Rank: 5
  • Defense Yards Per Play Rank: 126
  • S&P+ Special Teams Rank: 4

Analysis: Washington State is still Washington State, if you’ve missed Pac-12 After Dark this fall. The Cougars throw the ball more than anyone and play weirder games than anyone — a 67-63 loss to UCLA and a 54-53 win over Oregon State among them. Anthony Gordon took over at quarterback this year and did what Wazzu does. The Cougars ranked top 20 in success rate, explosiveness, points per possession and so much more. But the defense. Oh, the defense. In those same metrics we just listed for the offense, Washington State was bottom 30 in all of them on defense. — Steve Petrella
