Let me say it with my chest: College football Week 1.

We've been treated to a handful of smaller slates so far in 2022, but Saturday's officially the start of the season. Happy betting, friends.

Watching the college football ticket counts pile up overnight is a beautiful site, and it's apparent bettors are favoring a handful of teams in Week 1.

Some of these matchups are in the Power 5, such as Louisville vs. Syracuse. However, like every week, under-the-radar games like FAU vs. Ohio and Wyoming vs. Tulsa are also attracting a ton of tickets.

Using this public data in Action Network's trackers, we can effectively gauge the most popular college football bets.

These five sides are particularly hot ahead of Saturday's monster, Week 1 slate.

1. Tulsa (-6.5) vs. Wyoming

3:30 p.m. ET

It's all Tulsa tickets ahead of the afternoon slate.

The Golden Hurricane opened just -1.5 vs. Wyoming, but have since crossed key numbers of -3, -4 and -6, as the favorite is attracting 83% of bets.

Wyoming, which is 8-3 ATS after a loss, didn't score a touchdown in last week's 38-6 loss to Illinois.

2. Oklahoma (-30.5) vs. UTEP

3:30 p.m. ET

The public's banking on Oklahoma as large chalk in head coach Brent Venables' first game at the post.

The Sooners are pulling in 82% of bets, as the number's on the fringe of -31. UTEP lost to North Texas at home in Week 0, 31-13, while the game went under the total.

3. Houston (-4) vs. UTSA

3:30 p.m. ET

Another favorite on bettors' radar Saturday is Houston, which is favored to win the AAC in 2022.

Like Oklahoma, the Cougars are generating 82% of the bets at the time of writing, tied for the second-most-lopsided split.

4. FAU (-4) vs. Ohio

6 p.m. ET

FAU bludgeoned Charlotte in the opener as a touchdown-sized favorite, so the public has no problem going back to the well here against Ohio.

The Owls are pulling in eight of every 10 bets on the spread with the morning slate right around the corner.

5. Louisville (-4.5) vs. Syracuse

8 p.m. ET

The fifth and final favorite lopsided side is a road favorite in Louisville, which has been bet up past the a key number of -4 to -4.5.

We've logged 79% of the near 10,000 tickets on the Cardinals, who thumped Syracuse 41-3 just last year.
