The Associated Press unveiled its preseason Top 25 poll Monday as the college football season draws closer.
Georgia ranks No. 1 for the second consecutive year, but as our Brett McMurphy pointed out, 18 of the last 20 preseason AP No. 1 teams failed to win it all.
The good news for the Bulldogs, though, is that they sit inside the top seven. McMurphy noted that since 2004, all but two national champions opened inside the top seven, with Florida State (No. 11 in 2013) and Auburn (No. 22 in 2010) being the lone exceptions.
The biggest discrepancy between a school's odds to win it all and its ranking belongs to LSU. The Tigers have the seventh-shortest odds to win the national title but enter the season ranked 13th.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma State presents strong value based on its ranking. The Cowboys come in at No. 17 but have the 23rd-shortest odds at +15000.
With all that in mind, let’s take a look at each Top 25 school’s odds to win the national title according to DraftKings.
