Down went the Trojans on Friday night, potentially helping to open the door for College Football Playoff chaos — and moving the college football national championship odds on the teams still in contention.

As we head into Saturday, here are the updated college football national championship odds after USC's loss to Utah, via FanDuel.

(5) Ohio State: +450

(3) TCU: +1200

FanDuel is also offering bets on Georgia vs. the field (Georgia -150, the field +118) and Michigan vs. the field (Michigan +350, the field -550).

With USC's loss to Utah in the Pac-12 Championship Game, the Ohio State Buckeyes seem destined for this year's College Football Playoff. And a TCU loss to Kansas State on Saturday could further shake things up, allowing the Crimson Tide to sneak in the back door.

The defending champion Bulldogs opened at +450 right after the 2022 College Football Playoff National Championship in January, trailing only the Alabama Crimson Tide (+250). Ohio State was right behind Georgia at +700, with Michigan several spots back at +1500.

TCU, meanwhile, was a whopping +20000 to win it all in January — odds that shortened all the way to +1200 ahead of conference championship week.

That's where they remain, pending the Horned Frogs taking care of business against Kansas State on Saturday.
