Unfortunate scheduling news out of Baltimore has given Thursday's New Mexico vs. Utah State matchup a whole new level of intrigue. With the NFL now out of the Thanksgiving night picture, the Mountain West takes center stage as the only under-the-lights football action for those looking to keep the best betting holiday cruising into the evening.

For sharps, though, the Ravens-Steelers cancellation has had no effect on their attention to this matchup. They've been all over the spread since Monday, and have caused a pretty significant line move as a result.

Our PRO Report details exactly how they're betting it.

College Football Sharp Pick: New Mexico vs. Utah State

Big bets from sharps have been landing on the favorite throughout the week, and that's caused oddsmakers to extend this spread.

Sharp Action

After opening as 4.5-point favorites, the Lobos of New Mexico are up to -6.5 across most of the market. And Sports Insights Bet Signals have confirmed sharps to be behind the move.

Three signals, which are triggered by instances of market movement caused specifically by sharp action, have been triggered on New Mexico since Monday, pushing this number right to the edge of a full touchdown.

Big Money

Also pointing toward the sharp backing of the favorite — and providing some more reason for oddsmakers to have moved this line — the 57% of bettors on New Mexico have accounted for 86% of actual money hitting this spread. Of course that creates a monetary liability, but perhaps more importantly it illustrates that the Lobos are drawing bigger bets — the one more likely to be made by sharps.
