Tonight marks the start of Week 1 of the 2022-23 college football season and I finally feel like I’m ready to take the leap into football betting again.
For some reason, I just can’t get on board with betting on NFL preseason football or a college week that is termed “Week 0.”
It just doesn’t feel right.
But here we are, going into the second week of college football and I am ready.
Wait, is it the first week? The second first week? Nevermind.
The point is, this betting ball needs to get rolling and thanks to the Action Network's College Football PRO betting tools, I’m all over the West Virginia vs. Pittsburgh over/under as my first college bet of the season.
I was raised as a West Virginia fan.
I spent most of my summers playing in a tiny West Virginia town nestled in the valley of the Appalachian Mountains.
My grandparents owned and operated one of the top nurseries in the state, and my grandfather actually earned his bachelor's degree at West Virginia University before returning to teach there years later.
In fact, there are some very interesting pictures of me dressed up in some questionable 1980s WVU gear that I hope never see the light of day.
And now that you know my backstory and sentimental love for all things West Virginia, here’s the bet I'll be rooting for on Thursday night.
