It's already been an interesting week for the college football betting market. Because college football offers so many games, it's difficult for oddsmakers to always set sharp numbers, especially in games between less popular programs in smaller conferences.
As a result, professionals often find value in matchups that public bettors are ignoring.
But this week has been about the big boys.
Sharp bettors have already taken market-moving positions on the spread and the over/under for Saturday's marquee matchup between Ohio State and Penn State (7:30 p.m. ET).
According to The Action Network's betting tools, wiseguys are also moving the line for another one of Week 5's key games: Virginia Tech at No. 22 Duke (7 p.m. ET).
The over/under for this matchup opened at 51 at Pinnacle and 64% of tickets and 59% of dollars wagered on the total have taken the under.
According to Sports Insights' Bet Signals, professionals have steamed the under three separate times, including at CRIS — a market-setting sportsbook that accepts high-limit wagers from sharp bettors — on Wednesday morning.

The onslaught of wiseguy action has pushed this total down to 50 at BookMaker and 49.5 at Pinnacle.
Virginia Tech and Duke both run the ball well, averaging 245 and 219.5 rushing yards per game, respectively. In matchups when both teams average at least 215 yards on the ground, the under is 223-173-7 (56.3%) since 2005.
Add in the fact that Hokies starting quarterback Josh Jackson is out with a broken leg, and it's understandable to see so much under money being bet.
