While the NFL steals the show on Thanksgiving, Black Friday belongs to college football. Fifteen FBS games will kick off on Friday, and sharps have taken notice, causing significant market movement on a few games.
With start times ranging from noon to 4:15 p.m. ET, three games — highlighted by UCF at South Florida — have drawn the attention of sharp bettors.
Texas @ Kansas
12 p.m. ET
Sharp angle: Under (moved from 51.5 to 49.5)
Generally, fading the public tends to lead bettors to the sharp side of a given wager. In this case, however, casual bettors and professionals seem to be in agreement, as 57% of bets have hit the under.
Those bets have accounted for 85% of the money, meaning bigger wagers — the ones more likely to come from sharps — are behind this under.
On top of that, the under has triggered two Sports Insights Bet Signals — indications of line movement caused by sharp action.
Coastal Carolina @ South Alabama
3 p.m. ET
Sharp angle: South Alabama (moved from +1.5 to pk)
After opening as a 1.5-point underdog, South Alabama is now listed as a pick'em, and even favored by one point at a few books. Getting only 37% of bets, it certainly hasn't been the public that's caused the line move.
The Jaguars have triggered two Bet Signals, and have been on the receiving end of 41% of money wagered, helping to eliminate the opening point spread.
Central Florida @ South Florida
4:15 p.m. ET
Sharp angle: South Florida (moved from +14.5 to +14)
The public has been all over the undefeated Knights this week, accounting for 76% of bets on the two-touchdown favorites. Initially, that caused this line to reach -14.5, but sharps have since bought back South Florida.
The Bulls have triggered seven Bet Signals, far more than any other bet on Friday's slate, causing their line to fall back to the key number of +14.
