The AP released its Top 25 poll after Week 1 of college football and there is one major surprise.

The Colorado Buffaloes are ranked No. 22 in the latest AP Poll.

This comes on the heels of a 45-42 victory on the road at TCU, who was ranked 17th in the nation and coming off a berth in the National Championship.

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes were one of the more talked about programs heading into the season. But most people expected them to be putrid. The season win total for the Buffs entering the season was 3.5 and it was juiced to the under.

The Buffs were +25000 to win the National Championship, +15000 to make the College Football Playoff and +10000 to win the Pac-12 Championship entering the season. All of those numbers have come down after one week.

The Pac-12 now has six teams ranked in the Top 25, which ties them for the most from any conference with the SEC.

Georgia remains the No. 1 team in the AP Poll, followed by Michigan and Alabama. One of the other biggest risers is Florida State. The Seminoles jumped up four spots to No. 4 in the AP Poll.

Duke, after an upset win over Clemson, is the other school to vault into the Top 25.
