Last week, Colorado crashed my bowl projections. This week, I have Texas projected in the College Football Playoff, Alabama not even playing in a New Year’s Six bowl and Rutgers bowl-bound.

These are some wild and wacky times in college football.

In my projected College Football Playoff field, Texas bumped Washington out of my final four, joining Georgia, Michigan and Florida State.

I don’t have the Pac-12 in the playoff, but three Pac-12 teams — Washington, USC and Oregon — headed to New Year’s Six bowls.

Besides Texas’ quick climb, there are more changes in my projections. Besides Rutgers — yes, again, Rutgers — new schools I have in this week’s bowl projections are Cincinnati, Purdue, Georgia Southern and Louisiana Tech.

And, remember, if you don’t like my projections, don’t worry — they’ll be different next week.

Here are my Week 3 projections, and each projection includes the projected point spread for each bowl based on Action Network senior writer Collin Wilson’s updated college football betting power ratings.
