This article contains predictions for an old game.

Don't look now, but the Colorado Buffaloes (6-2, 4-1 Big 12) have begun to make some noise in the Big 12. They come into this matchup at 6-2, having won 4 out of their last 5, with the lone loss being a narrow one to Kansas State, 31-28.

They will put their hot streak on the line against a Texas Tech Red Raiders team (6-3, 4-2) that showed its resilience last week. They pulled off a big 23-22 upset victory on the road against then-11th-ranked Iowa State.

The Red Raiders offense won them the game, as they were fortunate to get the ball last. Offense will be the theme for this matchup with Colorado as well.

With that said, let's dive into my Colorado vs. Texas Tech predictions and college football picks for Saturday, Nov. 7.

Colorado vs Texas Tech Week 11 Betting Preview

Colorado Buffaloes Betting Preview: Stellar Aerial Attack

Colorado is a team that knows how to play to its strengths. On offense, it has continually challenged defenses through the air.

The Buffs' aerial attack has been led superbly by quarterback Shedeur Sanders. Sanders has looked better than ever, ranking second in completion percentage and 29th in yards per pass, all while throwing the ball at the 11th-highest rate in the country.

Sanders and company will keep the ball soaring against a Red Raiders defense that has been shredded through the air this season. Texas Tech comes into this matchup ranked 108th in Pass Success Rate allowed and 126th in PFF's coverage grades.

This is about as ideal a matchup you could ask for if you're Colorado. This team has averaged over 31 points per game and is expected to surpass that in this matchup.

Texas Tech Red Raiders Betting Preview: Brooks Leading the Charge

The Red Raiders have shown that they can get the job done through the air and on the ground. It all starts with running back Tahj Brooks, who's averaging 5.1 yards per carry on nearly 23 attempts per game.

Brooks is a dominant force on the ground, and he should be able to get going against a Colorado defense that ranks 64th in yards per rush allowed.

Brooks' dominance has made the Red Raiders efficient in scoring opportunities, as they rank fifth in red-zone scoring percentage and seventh in Offensive Finishing Drives.

The passing game is where, on paper, the Red Raiders success is misconstrued. Texas Tech ranks 80th in Pass Success Rate and has thrown the ball at the 29th-highest rate in the country.

Quarterback Behren Morton has solid numbers, but with him, it's about keeping the chains moving and stretching the defense when they come up to stop Brooks. Morton has completed 62% of his passes while ranking 97th in yards per pass allowed.

Colorado's secondary has been excellent this year, but it remains to be seen if it can avoid being burnt through the air, as it will need to make a concerted effort to contain the run.

Colorado vs Texas Tech Best Bet and Picks

It's peculiar that this total has not budged throughout the week. The only small moves have been up to 63 before settling back down at 62.5.

However, as we've learned, both offenses have avenues for ample success in this matchup. There's also one last factor that will contribute to the scoreboard lighting up here: the tempo.

Both teams play fast. The Red Raiders rank 15th in seconds per play, and the Buffaloes are not far behind at 42nd. We should see Colorado score quickly through the air and Texas Tech not waste much time striking back.

Take the over.

Pick: Over 62.5 (Play to 63.5)
