By now, you know how much the Colorado Buffaloes and coach Deion Sanders are exceeding expectations this season. Saturday night against ASU was just another reminder.

Before this college football season started, Colorado's win total over/under was set at 3.5 wins, after initially opening at 4.5 wins with bettors hammering the under. There was very little faith in Coach Prime & Co. to say the least.

Yet with a game-winning field goal against ASU in Week 6, Colorado has officially cashed the over on its consensus win total of 3.5 wins for the 2023 college football season.

With the game tied at 24 and less than a minute remaining in regulation, Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders stepped up with a massive throw to help get the Buffs into field goal range.

It's worth noting that whether Colorado covered against ASU depends on when you placed your bet and at which sportsbook. Colorado was as big as 4.5-point favorites earlier in the week against the Sun Devils, with some books closing at Colorado -2.5, -3 or -3.5 on Saturday before kickoff. Of course, any bettors who got Colorado -2.5 would have covered the spread, while -3 was a push, and -3.5 or bigger was an ASU cover.
