A deserving team had to be left out of this year's edition of the College Football Playoff. In the end, that team was Florida State, as the Seminoles were not selected as one of the four semifinalists for the College Football Playoff by the playoff committee.
What were the odds that Florida State would miss the College Football Playoff? On Sunday morning, just before the College Football Playoff selection show and just before the odds came off the board, Florida State was -400 to make the College Football Playoff and +300 to miss the College Football Playoff.

Florida State was also +1600 to win the national championship before being left out of the College Football Playoff.
