Naturally, no one believes in Florida State anymore.

The Seminoles are the only team to lose its first two games as double-digit favorites.

The Noles are just the third team to go from the preseason top-10 to unranked in the first regular-season poll since the rankings expanded to 25 in 1989.

Florida State opened the season at +2600 odds to win the National Championship at Fanatics Sportsbook. The Noles have fallen to +15000 after two shocking upsets as double-digit favorites.

Florida State opened the season with a loss against Georgia Tech. After that loss, the Seminoles fell to +7500 to win the National Championship.

Then they lost to Boston College.

Florida State, for what it's worth, is single handedly regressing the trend of dominance from double-digit favorites so far this college footballs season. While only one other double-digit favorite lost outright through the season's first two weeks, Florida State accounts for two more instances. It's a staggering stat on the backs of big-school dominance, especially early in the season during the NIL era.

Florida State opened the season as +275 favorites to win the ACC Championship. After the 0-2 start, the Noles have fallen all the way down to +3000 to win the conference. They are now behind teams like Georgia Tech, SMU and Virginia Tech on the leaderboard.

These two losses come on the heels of a successful 2023 season, in which Florida State went 13-0 and won the ACC Championship. In the end, they were left out as the No. 5 seed in a controversial decision that would have little bearing this season, where a 12-team tournament would have meant FSU would be still in the mix.

Still, it's the same Florida State team that then left a clunker in the postseason, losing to Georgia 63-3 in the Orange Bowl. The Seminoles evidently haven't recovered since.
