It is almost August which means college football is so close you can almost smell it.
This means it's time to discuss futures. One of the most popular futures for the college football season is the Heisman Trophy winner.
The two favorites to win the 2022 Heisman Trophy — Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud and Alabama quarterback Bryce Young — were invited to New York for the ceremony last season.
Young will try to be the first back-to-back winner since Ohio State's Archie Griffin did it in 1974 and 1975.
Stroud will likely enter the season as the favorite to win the Heisman as he currently holds +200 odds. He's also one of the biggest liabilities for BetMGM as he's getting 14% of the bets and accounts for 24.6% of the total handle.
However, it's actually Stroud's teammate, wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who is the biggest liability at BetMGM. His odds have shifted from +5000 to +3000 to win the trophy. Smith-Njigba is getting 7.6% of the bets and 6.1% of the money.
One of Young's teammates is the third-biggest liability at BetMGM. Will Anderson Jr. has gone from +3000 to +2000. He's getting 6.4% of the public bets and accounts for 5.9% of the handle.
Young is still getting plenty of bets even though he's not one of the top liabilities. He is getting 10% of the bets and 8.6% of the money to defend his trophy.
USC quarterback Caleb Williams is another popular pick for the Heisman. He's getting 10% of the bets and accounts for 8.6% of the handle. The Oklahoma transfer is +600 to win the trophy at BetMGM.
One notable mover to keep an eye on is Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, who has gone from +4000 to +2500 to win the Heisman.
