This time, it isn't even close.

Almost a month ago to the day, the Rutgers vs. Iowa over/under of 34 opened so low that it was in contention for lowest total we've ever tracked.

Move over Rutgers, Northwestern is the opponent Iowa was seeking.

The total opened at 31.5 at Circa Sports and has been bet all the way up to 35. The previous lowest total was 33, set all the way back in 1995 between Arizona and Oregon State.

Iowa vs. Northwestern Over/Under

This game could close among the seven lowest totals in college football (listed below), with Iowa being listed three times — all in the past two seasons.

There also seems to be a Big Ten theme to the list. Iowa vs. Northwestern could be the eighth total to close at 34 or less and five of the seven totals have come from the Big Ten conference.
