The Iron Bowl almost always delivers.
There have been some wild endings to the rivalry game between Auburn and Alabama over the years and the 2023 iteration certainly didn't disappoint.
Jalen Milroe led Alabama on a game-winning drive to beat Auburn 27-24. The drive was capped off by a 31-yard pass on 4th and goal with Alabama down 24-20. Right when it looked like Auburn had the Crimson Tide dead to rights, Milroe completed an unbelievable pass.
But that wasn't even the most interesting situation for those betting on the game.
Auburn got the ball back with 43 seconds left. Total bettors already knew the result as the Alabama touchdown cashed the overs. And Auburn spread bettors were comfortable with +13.5.
But Alabama teaser bettors with -6.5, -7 or -7.5 and Alabama over 31.5 team total bettors were left dumbfounded.
On 1st and 10, Auburn quarterback Payton Thorne fumbled and an Auburn offensive lineman was able to grab it and carry it out of the end zone.
Then on 2nd and 24, Thorne appeared to have thrown a pick six. The pick six would've cashed all the Alabama teasers and the team total over.
The score went up on the board as 33-24. Even the Action Network app showed 33-24 as the final. But the pick six was waved off the board. On the replay, it appeared that Alabama cornerback Terrion Arnold stepped out of bounds.
The final was 27-24.
