Joining the Action Network as a CFB analyst, Johnny Manziel has chosen his top three picks for the Heisman Trophy, along with who he thinks will be making the playoffs come postseason.

Manziel spoke about how he likes Quinn Ewers for the Heisman Trophy and which teams he thinks will win the title game this season.

Picks for Heisman

Manziel:I think my first pick for Heisman this year, a guy who obviously played really well last year. He didn't know if he was gonna come out for the draft and ended up coming back. It's hard for me to say as an Aggie, but I really like Quinn Ewers here at the University of Texas. I think this guy displays a lot of arm talent.

With their [Texas] new move to the SEC, how will they fare? But I think with the schedule, newly coming into the SEC, the way he performed and played last year, I don't think there's any reason that this guy shouldn't be in New York at the end of the season.

My number 2 guy on the Heisman list this year will be Carson Beck out of Georgia. I think this team is gonna be at the top of the college football playoff race all year. The best team in the country with their quarterback, you know, week in and week out, we'll get a chance to watch him, see how he fares. I think he'll be taking a bigger step this year and really put his team in a place to win a national title and put himself in the Heisman Trophy race.

Number 3 on my Heisman list is a guy who has a lot of flair. There's a lot of talk around this team in Colorado, but I really like Shedeur Sanders. I think you need to have that flair. You need to have a little bit of spunk about you to be able to put yourself in the conversation. There's been a lot of talk about him, and it really comes down to play on the field. I see Colorado being a good team this year.

He [Sanders] does enough with his legs and does enough with his arm. I think he'll be very much in the conversation throughout this college football season.

12 Playoff Teams and Title Game:

ManzielNumber 1, I have Georgia, the Bulldogs, out of the SEC. I believe they will be the SEC champion.

2, I have Ohio State. I think they will be victorious in the Big Ten and will go into the 2 slot.

Number 3, I like the 'Canes this year, the University of Miami.

Number 4, the Big 12 champion I have, Utah. And then from there, you know, I have quite a few SEC teams here, but at number 5, Texas, as hard as it is for me to say. Number 6, Oregon.

Number 7, Alabama. Number 8, another SEC team, Ole Miss. Number 9, Notre Dame. Number 10, I have a Clemson. Number 11, I have my fighting Texas Aggies sneaking in at the 11 spot.

Number 12, a little bit of a sleeper, but a team I think will play really well this year, and that is Liberty.

I think out of these 12 teams, [which are] the two teams that would make it to the national title game? If I had to say right now, early in the season, I would say that the Georgia Bulldogs will end up in the national title game, and I believe they will be playing the University of Oregon. I really like Oregon's chances coming out of their league this year to go through a playoff slate.

I think they're gonna be really fast and really physical. I think this will be a great matchup that we wanna see come January.

Favorite Moment at A&M:

Manziel:I think my favorite moment at Texas A&M, one that lasts in my memory for 12 years later at this point, is getting a chance to go play against the number one team in the country in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and come out victorious.

You know, that's a day that really sticks in my head for the rest of my life. Such a good team-win all the way around for us.

One that I still get stopped on the street pretty much every single week and have somebody come up to me and tell me about that game. So, it's kinda hard to overpass and have a better memory than one that really, you know, put me in an amazing position to go on and win the Heisman Trophy.
