Week 11 brings us a Big Ten matchup, where the Oregon Ducks (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten) welcome in the Maryland Terrapins (4-4, 1-4) in a night game showdown at Autzen Stadium. Saturday's kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.

Oregon has been a force this season, rolling in most of its games of late. The Ducks intend on this one being another stepping stone en route to a Big Ten Championship appearance.

Meanwhile, the Terrapins enter this one having won 1 one of their last 4 games, all of which were conference matchups.

Oregon is currently a heavy favorite at -24.5 with an over/under of 57.5.

Let's dive into my Maryland vs. Oregon predictions and college football picks for Saturday, Nov. 9.

Maryland vs Oregon NCAAF Week 11 Preview

Maryland Terrapins Betting Preview: Balanced on Both Sides

Mike Locksley has generally been pretty good to this Maryland football program when it comes to beating the teams he is supposed to and remaining competitive with those he is not supposed to.

Locksley and the Terps are without Taulia Tagovailoa this season for the first time in a few years, and it has shown with their struggles in the Big Ten this season. This could be a great opportunity for Maryland to prove it can still be a top-half team in the Big Ten.

Maryland’s offense continues to be the same even without Tagovailoa under center.

The Terps have moved to Billy Edwards Jr., and he has been airing it out, leading this Maryland offense to nearly 29 points per game. The Terrapins offense ranks 52nd in Pass Play Rate while maintaining a ranking of 55th in Pass Success Rate.

Locksley’s bunch can play pitch and catch at a high level, but the rushing attack with Roman Hemby also presents challenges for opposing defenses.

Hemby averages nearly five yards per carry, pacing a Maryland rushing attack that ranks 57th in Rush Success Rate. This is a balanced offense in terms of skill, and I would expect them to be able to put up some points in this one, even on the road.

The Terrapins’ defense has not been as strong — allowing nearly 28 points per game — but they have shown some flashes from time to time. Their defense ranks 67th in Explosiveness allowed, as they are able to pressure teams into turnovers.

Maryland has also shown a strong ability to stop successful offenses; the Terrapins rank 67th in Success Rate allowed.

I think this Maryland defense is a bit underrated at this point in the year, so I anticipate they will have a stronger defensive performance in the coming weeks.

Oregon Ducks Betting Preview: Susceptible to the Rush

Dan Lanning has his team fired up on the season with big wins over Ohio State, Illinois, and Michigan in three of their last four games. He has shown that Oregon is up to the task to not only compete in the Big Ten but win the Big Ten.

This feels like a game that may be a bit overlooked given the gauntlet they have been in over the last few weeks, so it's possible Lanning may not have his team as focused this week.

Lanning has proven many wrong thus far, so he will look to do so again with a convincing win at home this weekend.

Quarterback Dillon Gabriel and running back Jordan James pace this high-flying Oregon offense that averages over 35 points per game on the year.

The Ducks have shown they can score with the best offenses in the nation, and I would expect them to have their opportunities against Maryland this week. Their offense ranks 20th in Success Rate, but the problem with them covering the big numbers is that they only rank 90th in Explosiveness, so it takes them a while to get to the number they need.

I'm expecting Oregon to put up points and win this game, but the question remains if they can score quick enough to cover a big number against a solid team.

The unheralded story of Oregon this year is just how good their defense has been. The Ducks allow fewer than 16 points per game and rank 28th in Success Rate allowed.

This is all much improved defensively from a year ago after concerns about how they would fare in the Big Ten that is known for cold weather and strong defensive play.

The Ducks should have no problem limiting consistent offense in this one, but they should keep an eye out for Hemby. Oregon ranks 131st in Run Explosiveness allowed, which can be a major problem if Maryland involves Hemby more in its game plan.

How to Bet My Maryland vs Oregon Pick

This game feels like a letdown spot for the Ducks and a huge game for Maryland’s players, coaches and fan base to get a season-defining win in Eugene.

While I think Oregon is too good and will win this one, I still have concerns with its offense scoring enough points to cover such a large number against a fellow Big Ten team that has shown some flashes.

I'll be taking Maryland to cover on the road at +24.5.

Pick: Maryland +24.5
