Online observers questioned how an FBS school could be considered such huge underdogs at home against an FCS opponent.

Everyone: FCS powerhouse Montana State, you should win against a bad New Mexico team as two-touchdown favorites! Would be great for Week 0.

Another defensive touchdown in the third quarter gave New Mexico a 31-14 lead going into the fourth. But running back Adam Jones’ 93-yard touchdown brought Montana State within four points with four minutes to go. A huge defensive stand with two minutes left set up the Bobcats’ go-ahead offensive drives.
