Betting tickets are piling up for college football Week 4, and it's clear the public's favoring a handful of particular teams against the spread Saturday.
We've noticed a plethora of lopsided sides in our college football betting data trackers, ranging from big favorites in the morning to large underdogs in the late window.
Utah vs. Arizona State and Maryland vs. Michigan are the big ones, but the public's also taking huge stances on some mid-major matchups, too.
Overall, these five sides are getting peppered in Week 4 ahead of the early window.
Most Popular College Football ATS Picks
1. Utah (-15.5) vs Arizona State
10:30 p.m. ET
Arizona State fired head coach Herm Edwards earlier this week — I'll go out on a limb and correlate that to the monstrous ticket count in favor of Utah in Week 4.
We've logged a whopping 89% of spread bets on the Utes as large road chalk, the most lopsided side Saturday. (View all Week 4 betting odds and data here!)
2. Old Dominion (-4.5) vs. Arkansas State
6 p.m. ET
This is the top mid-major showdown, at least from a betting perspective.
Old Dominion's near-upset win over Virginia in Week 3 was apparently enough to sway the public, as 87% of the tickets submitted are riding the Monarchs minus the points over Arkansas State.
3. Eastern Michigan (-6) vs. Buffalo
12 p.m. ET
The early kick between Eastern Michigan and Buffalo has attracted about 4,000 more wagers than Arkansas State vs. ODU, but the split is about the same.
We've tracked 86% of the spread tickets on the Eagles as road favorites, one week after upsetting Arizona State in Tempe.
4. Michigan (-17) vs. Maryland
12 p.m ET
Here's the most-bet game in our trackers for Week 4, with 50,0000 and counting.
And the public's backing the favorite.
Michigan and head coach Jim Harbaugh are pulling in 85% of the wagers against the spread vs. Maryland in the Big Ten opener.
5. UCLA (-22) vs. Colorado
2:30 p.m. ET
UCLA survived a scare at home last weekend vs. South Alabama as three-score favorites. That hasn't fazed the public, which has zero problem fading a Colorado team that has yet to win – or cover – a game all year.
The Bruins are attracting 82% of ATS tickets, which was enough to move the spread up from an open of -20.5
