Wake Forest Betting Stats & 2019 Season Profile
- Season Record: 8-4
- Against-the-Spread Record: 5-6-1
- Conference: ACC
- Offense Yards Per Play Rank: 72
- Defense Yards Per Play Rank: 77
- S&P+ Special Teams Rank: 36
Analysis: The Demon Deacons struggled down the stretch, winning just one time in their final four games. Wake Forest opened November ranked, but injuries to standout targets Sage Suratt and Scotty Washington limited the passing attack. Quarterback Jamie Newman was injured in the season finale and is questionable for the bowl game. Coach Dave Clawson has made three bowls in his tenure at Wake Forest, and the Demon Deacons went over the total in each of those three games. — Collin Wilson

Michigan State Betting Stats & 2019 Season Profile
- Season Record: 6-6
- Against-the-Spread Record: 3-9
- Conference: Big Ten
- Offense Yards Per Play Rank: 110
- Defense Yards Per Play Rank: 24
- S&P+ Special Teams Rank: 114
Analysis: Things went about as poorly as they could have in East Lansing in 2019. A lot of the metrics and stats that I look at value them much lower than polls and the market tend to. Obviously that’s been a losing proposition for me in most years as Mike Dantonio always has his guys ready. This year, he wasn’t able to work his magic because the Spartans looked like the epitome of a 6-6 team in 2019. As usual the run defense is very solid, but you can pass on the Spartans’ defense as much as you want. Michigan State’s offense is one of the worst in the country and much like their in-state rival, I doubt they’re highly motivated for the lowest bowl game the Big Ten has to offer. –Kyle Miller
