Three Power 5 matchups will kick off tonight as college football continues its head start into Week 5. Duke travels to Blacksburg, Cal hosts Arizona State and, in-between, Penn State visits Maryland in what should be the most heavily bet — and watched — Friday night game.
Sharp bettors' main focus, however, will be on none of the above. Per the tools available at The Action Network, the game they've hit most consistently comes by way of the Mountain West: San Jose State vs. Air Force.

Both teams enter at 2-1 overall, and San Jose State will be playing its first conference game, while Air Force sits at 0-1 in the Mountain West after losing to Boise State, 30-19.
Still, the margin between the two teams is high — at least according to oddsmakers. Air Force is currently listed as a 19.5-point favorite.
San Jose State vs. Air Force Sharp Report
- Spread: Air Force -19.5
- Over/under: 57.5
- Time: 8 p.m. ET, CBSSN
This line wasn't always -19.5. In fact, upon opening it was even higher, with the earliest books to market giving San Jose State a full three touchdowns. That's not to suggest, however, that the Spartans' popularity has brought the spread down.
For the most part, this game has been fairly split as far as tickets are concerned, with Air Force getting a slight edge at 57%. What's been far less split has been the money percentage breakdown.
The 46% of bettors on San Jose State have generated 63% of actual money being wagered on the point spread. While that certainly creates a liability for sportsbooks, it more importantly means that the Spartans are drawing significantly bigger bets — ones more likely to be made by sharps.
Confirming the professional action, two Sports Insights Bet Signals — indicators of sharp money causing line moves — have hit the Spartans at +20.
Should the line inch up to that point again, don't be surprised to see some more wiseguy activity on the road dogs.
