Wednesday's Sugar Bowl between Notre Dame and Georgia has been postponed to Thursday night, according to a report from WSB-TV and Action Network's Brett McMurphy.

The tragic event on New Orleans’ Bourbon Street early on New Year’s Day led officials to postpone the Notre Dame vs. Georgia Sugar Bowl. The last of the College Football Playoff quarterfinals, originally scheduled for 8:45 p.m. ET Wednesday night, was moved to 4 p.m. ET on Thursday.

“As long as it’s played within seven days,” Caesars' head of football trading Joey Feazel said.
