Today's Syracuse-UNC matchup has been no stranger to sharp action throughout the week. Pros were quick to make work of a spread that was deemed a bit too short, moving the Tar Heels up to near-24-point favorites — some books have even reached that key number today.

But the bigger landing spot for later smart money has been the total. Even in the final hours leading up to the noon ET kick, sharps have been able to move this number with some last-minute activity.

Syracuse vs. UNC Late Sharp Betting Pick

Coming into the morning, this total sat at a consensus 65.5, which was already a field-goal's increase from its opener of 62.5. But based on how sharps have acted today, that 3-point rise still wasn't enough.

Two Sports Insights Bet Signals in the form of steam moves — most recently at 10:45 a.m. ET — have been triggered on the over this morning, both coming at today's starting price of 65.5.

Steam refers to a sudden, drastic market move that comes as a result of heavy money hitting the same side of a bet all at once, often across multiple sportsbooks, and is a strong sign of sharp action.

As a result the market is now up to a consensus of 67, with several shops up even higher to 67.5. Here's a look at our updated PRO Report:

In addition to the steam, the over has drawn 77% of money on 55% of bets, which — considering that bigger bets are more likely to come from sharps — serves as another hint toward the sharp side.
