You can't win the Heisman Trophy in Week 1, but don't tell Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. Buffaloes two-way receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter put on an absolute show to open the season and coach Prime wasn't shy about pointing that out.
"He is HIM. We missed him on two deep balls. He gets those two deep balls, the Heisman is in his crib chilling right now." @DeionSanders had this to say about @CUBuffsFootball's Travis Hunter at the end of the first half ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/2dLhWWxWIQ

Hunter finished the game with 11 catches, 119 yards, three tackles and an interception as a starter on both offense and defense. Hunter's odds to win the Heisman have immediately become something to watch. Entering the game, Hunter was about +7500 in Action Network's consensus odds and was as long as +25000 at Bet365. After his performance, his odds range from as high as +10000 at FanDuel to +4000 at DraftKings.
Hunter isn't the only player who had an outstanding game for Colorado. Shedeur Sanders set a school record with 510 passing yards and threw for four touchdowns in his Colorado debut. Sanders' odds to win the Heisman are also +4000 at DraftKings and +15000 at FanDuel.
The Buffaloes had a win total of 3.5 entering Sanders' first season as head coach and already have one on the board after a huge upset over No. 17-ranked TCU on Saturday as 21-point underdogs. More than 71% of the money bet on the spread was on TCU to cover, according to Action Network's betting data.
Colorado faces Nebraska next Saturday, which hopefully ends up being another exciting episode of the Travis Hunter show.
