Before proceeding with my Action Network bowl projections, I need to get something off my chest.

A lot of people took a lot of shots at my bowl projections over the last 48 hours! You know, I’m really upset and disrespected by what Lou Holtz said publicly about our team and Bowl Projections Nation, and we’re not going to stand for that! We had one bad bowl projection a couple of years ago, but every projection we’ve written, we’ve been physical. I don’t know where that came from!

Other bowl projections are fighting for clicks; we’re fighting for wins! The Cinderella story is over, man. These bowl projections ain’t gonna be played in Hollywood; they're gonna be played on the grass. We’re rooted in substance, not flash.

Let’s go!

This week’s edition of emotional bowl projections features seven schools that didn’t make last week’s projections: Colorado State, Georgia Tech, Houston, Louisiana, Texas State, Tulsa and USF.

Here are my Week 5 projections — and each projection includes the projected point spread for each bowl based on Action Network senior writer Collin Wilson’s updated college football betting power ratings.
