The Knights cut the Caps' lead to 3-2 with under three minutes left in the second period. Over 5.5 bettors needed just one more goal in more than 22 minutes of action.
Well, that sixth goal almost came, but it ricocheted off the post and the game remained 3-2.
The game eventually halted to a stop in the final period, but over bettors knew the Knights would have to pull Marc-André Fleury if neither team notched another.
Well, it came down to that. Vegas pulled Fleury with around two minutes to go — still trailing 3-2. And then, when the puck would be harmlessly going around the boards, this happened:

Yes, Holtby made that save. One of the greatest of all-time given the stage. I just assumed it was in the back of the net live. The Caps would then finish off the 3-2 road victory with a number of icings. The empty netter never came. What a sweat for all of those involved!
