Tonight's NHL games include two big matchups as the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs continues. I have two NHL anytime goalscorer picks for the doubleheader with Hurricanes vs. Rangers Game 5 (7 p.m. ET) and Stars vs. Avalanche Game 4 (9:30 p.m. ET).

Betting on NHL anytime goalscorers is simple enough: If your player scores a goal at any point in the game, your bet is a winner. MLB has its dingers; the NHL has its anytime goalscorers. And with both types of player props, the bets usually come with plus-money odds attached to them, so they're a favorite among all types of sports bettors.

Check out all of the analysis with my favorite anytime goalscorer predictions for tonight's NHL postseason action below.

Hurricanes vs. Rangers

Monday, May 13
7 p.m. ET
ESPN & ESPN+
Alexis Lafreniere (+320)

Game 5 of this second-round series between the Carolina Hurricanes and New York Rangers kicks off Monday's NHL doubleheader.

After dominating in the regular season, goaltender Frederik Andersen has seen a steep dip in production this postseason. Andersen has now allowed three or more goals in each of his past five starts, posting a fade-worthy .884 SV% over that stretch.

That brings us to New York forward Alexis Lafreniere, who has exploded for the Rangers in this series.

Lafreniere has scored in each of the past three games (four goals total), and, at this point, you just have to keep riding the hot hand. We can find his goalscoring prop as long as +320 via FanDuel, a line that is 20-70 cents wider than the rest of the market at the time of writing.

Impressively, all four of Lafreniere's goals over the past three games have come at even-strength as his release has looked incredible this series.

Pick: Alexis Lafreniere (+320 at FanDuel)

Stars vs. Avalanche

Monday, May 13
9:30 p.m. ET
ESPN & ESPN+
Tyler Seguin (+340)

The second contest of Monday's doubleheader features the Colorado Avalanche hosting the Dallas Stars in Game 4 of this Western Conference series.

Dallas forward Tyler Seguin has finally started to convert on his scoring chances, and I think he will continue to do so moving forward.

Seguin has scored three times over the past two games, but positive regression was always likely to be in the cards for the Stars' veteran, who ranks second on the team in scoring chances this postseason despite not scoring a single goal until the past two games.

With that said, Colorado has been a beatable foe for Seguin, given that he has scored 10 times over the past seven meetings between these two teams.

I'm not sure another skater in the entire league has had that type of success against this strong Avs team, so "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Furthermore, goaltender Alexandar Georgiev has struggled for Colorado in this series. Through the first three games, he is 1-2 with a mere .878 SV%.

Pick: Tyler Seguin (+340 at BetMGM)
