If it weren't for injuries and weather issues Soriano could be over this line in 10 straight games.
He has been a 6 inning merchant for the Angels and he is facing a Braves team that has had its share of offensive struggles.
Against a RHP in the L30 days they have the 20th lowest batting average and the 23rd lowest OBP.

This becomes an even stronger under play considering both of those starting pitchers have been relieving scorching-hot offenses. Spencer Schwellenbach has pitched pretty well for the Atlanta Braves, holding a 3.95 ERA and WHIP of 1.06 through 12 starts. He wasn't walking many batters—with a walk percentage of just 4.2%—and struck out enough—26.8%—to prevent hard hits against a below-average Angels lineup. On the road, Schwellenbach has been dominating, with a 1.04 WHIP, and in five of his last six starts, he has given up three earned runs or fewer, showing consistency and control.
On the opposite side, Jose Soriano has impressed for the Angels as well. With a 3.36 ERA and 1.19 WHIP over 21 appearances, he’s proven his worth, especially in recent outings where he’s allowed one earned run or fewer in four of his last five starts. Soriano's 59.4% ground ball rate and low home run rate of 0.66 per nine innings are key factors that should help keep the Braves' offense in check.
Moreover, Soriano's ERA since June 5th currently sits at a massively impressive 2.81—a further indication of his form.
The Braves have had very little in the way of consistent offense, and especially on the road. How thereafter was evident in the series finale versus the Giants Wednesday as the Braves generated just four hits. The Angels, meanwhile, have been mired in an offensive slump. They were swept by the Blue Jays and haven't been able to produce many runs. With neither team able to put up big numbers of late, the under looks strong. Both bullpens have been sharp, more so the Angels bullpen, thriving with a bullpen ERA of 2.21 over the last ten games. Based on how these starting pitchers are pitching, this total should be most played under 8.5 total runs based on recent form by both teams.

Was able to cobble together 1.2u on every book I could, even with limits - combination of DK alt line (-140), DK regular line (-150), ESPN (-150), and a little on Caeser’s (-154). Blended avg about -150
Easy pull here on my guy. Schwellenbach over in 4 straight, with some bonkers called+swinging strike numbers. In his last 6 games:
- 37% CSW% vs PHI
- 20% vs SDP (they are an outlier team with this metric)
- 30% vs STL
- 36% vs NYM
- 35% vs MIA
- 31% vs COL (@ Coors)
For reference, Chris Sale has the highest csw% amongst qualifiers at 33%.
He’s been on a tear, and he gets a plus opponent vs the Angels. 25% K% over the L14 days vs righties - and a 76 wRC+ and .616 OPS. Likely they start 6 righties (5 at a minimum) - plays into Schwellenbach’s better split (34% vs righties).
