Bubic has 8 Ks in both of his first two starts. He's added a slider and tweaked his changeup to add more drop. The results have been a hefty 14.9% SwStr% and a massive 34.5% CSW%. It's only 2 starts, but this is exactly what we saw from Bubic out of the bullpen last season. His strikeout rate and plate-discipline metrics are nearly identical to his 2024 numbers. Cleveland had the 8th-lowest strikeout rate against LHP last season at 20.7%, but their lineup looks different this season. The group they rolled out on Sunday against Tyler Anderson had a 22.5% K% against LHP since the start of 2024.
