Ranking 20th in rushing yards last season, their ground attack spearheaded by Bhayshul Tuten, who averaged five yards per carry last year, should thrive in this game. Although Tuten had a quiet opening game with just 34 rushing yards, that can be attributed to facing Vanderbilt’s stacked box. Against Marshall, a team with a less formidable defense, Tuten should find more room to break through. Defensively, the Hokies were solid last season, especially against the pass, ranking 4th in passing yards allowed at 168.8 per game. This presents a major challenge for Marshall, who just played a weak Stony Brook team and inflated their offensive numbers. Marshall rotated through three quarterbacks last week, and while they combined for five touchdowns, this was against a significantly weaker opponent.
