He’s averaging 11.3 PPG Per-26 and is coming off the bench consistently acting as the 6th man playing 26+ minutes in five of the first seven games this season. Potential extra boost here if Cam Payne “iffy” doesn’t suit up but I’m not relying the read on this. But the reason I’m going a little heavier on the units is the matchup. He’ll face a Bucks defense that ranks 20th-25th in defending transition, pick and roll, and spot-up shooting that makes up 91% of his PPG. Duece should be able to create when Brunson is off the court in drop vs. Lopez/Portis - a team that gives up the 2nd most pull-up FGM where he has 44% of his PPG. Another good thing working our way is their recent defensive adjustment of Andre Jackson moving to the starting lineup. This should weaken the bench’s defense when McBride checks in the game and they’re allowing the 2nd most above the break 3PT FGM, also which makes up for Duece’s 57% of FGM shot distribution. We just saw Jordan Clarkson do this last night scoring 18 points off the bench, should be a similar type setup for Duece here. #PlayerProps

🗽 The Knicks face off against the Bucks on Friday night and the player that I’m targeting is Jalen Brunson. The Bucks are playing in their second game of a back to back and will have had to travel from Milwaukee to New York overnight. They’ve been off to a brutal start with just a 2-6 record and have been middling in their advanced Metrics. The Bucks have been burned by score first guards this season. Garland (39), Morant (26), Schroder (29), and Mitchell (30) to name a few. Brunson can score with the best of them even though he’s had a bit of a slow start to the season himself (25.3 ppg). However, he thrived in this specific matchup last year and scored 36+ in three straight games against the Bucks’ drop coverage. This is a get right spot for Brunson and I’ll back him to exceed 27.5 points.
