You might as well call Katie Ledecky the Secretariat of swimmers.

That’s how dominant she is.

Ledecky tied fellow American Jenny Thompson for the most gold medals (eight) and overall medals (12) for a female swimmer with a ridiculous performance in the 1500m freestyle.

At an overwhelming -3300 to win, she set a new Olympic record, finishing the race in 15:35:02. She was so dominant that there wasn’t a single swimmer in frame as she came down the stretch and finished over 10 seconds ahead of silver medalist Anastasiya Kirpichnikova of France.

Ledecky’s tie with Thompson might be short lived as she has two more chances to set new records as early as Thursday. She’s part of the United States’ 4x200 free relay team that hits the pool in fewer than 24 hours.

The United States is tied with China for the second-best odds to win gold at +1300 while Australia is a massive -10000 favorite at DraftKings. She’ll have another crack at the records on Friday as well in the 800m freestyle.
