The Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight will be one of the most-watched sporting events of the year — and maybe one of the most-bet, too.
But you can't actually wager on this fight at FanDuel, DraftKings and other sportsbooks in states like New York, Pennsylvania, Colorado and several more.
And if you're in states California or Texas, you can't bet on those platforms anyway (though you do have other options).
If you're not in a state with legal betting, or in one that's not offering the fight, you can use a social/sweepstakes sportsbook like Fliff or Rebet that are not subject to the same regulatory approvals as traditional sportsbooks. You can also use a DFS site like Underdog or PrizePicks, which doesn't allow you to take the winner of the fight, but allows you to build lineups around boxer stats like total punches landed, fantasy score, and total fight time.
Here's why: Although the fight is sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation — typically the bar to clear for sportsbooks to offer odds — some state gaming regulators are not comfortable offering it because they deem it more of an exhibition.
The "exhibition" question has to do with perceived skill gap and the age gap between Paul & Tyson, and the non-traditional rules — two-minute rounds and 14-ounce gloves instead of the usual three-minute rounds and 10-ounce gloves. Sportsbooks didn't offer Paul's brother Logan's fight against Floyd Mayweather in 2021 because the fight wasn't sanctioned due to the skill gap and rule changes. This one is sanctioned, but again, some gaming regulators don't seem entirely confident in its legitimacy.

Social/Sweepstakes Sportsbook
Confused about social/sweepstakes betting? Read more up on how they work and their legality here. It's similar to real betting, but you're making a purchase to put money on the platform, not depositing. Several of these platforms, including Fliff and Rebet, are available in 40+ states.
- Fliff: Fliff is offering three main markets on the fight — moneyline, fight to go the distance, and over/under rounds.
- Rebet: Rebet has a few more options, including winning method (Jake Paul by KO is +102).
- Thrillzz: Thrillzz is available in fewer states than Rebet or Fliff, and is offering the fight winner and over/under on rounds.
- ProphetX: Prophet is a betting exchange, meaning you're wagering against other users. So they have tight prices that may be more advantageous compared to other sportsbooks. At time of publish, Paul is -245 and Tyson is +220.
